Operating System Notes:
1. The reference environment is Sun Solaris 8 (with the Forte 7.0 C/C++ compiler); however, this product has been successfully tested on Solaris 9 with the Forte 7.0 compiler.
2. We have only certified our products with Red Hat, and SuSE Linux. Other Intel Linux variants are not supported with OCDS. The reference environment is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 (AS/ES/WS); however, this product has been successfully tested on SuSE Linux 8.0
3. This product has been successfully tested on HP/UX 11i, also referred to as HP/UX 11.11
4. This is an AIX product that can be used on the iSeries (AS400) running o/s 400 V5R2 via the PASE interface.
5. The reference environment is SCO UnixWare 7.1.1 - UDK, however this product has been successfully tested on Open Server 5.0.6 - UDK. The product may also work on later versions of these UDK platforms, but this is not guaranteed.
6. This product will not run on SuSE or United Linux platforms - we have a separate product for those platforms.
7. The reference environment is Sun Solaris 7 (with the Forte 6.0 C/C++ compiler); however, this product has been successfully tested on Solaris 8 with the Forte 6.0 compiler.
8. The reference environment is Sun Solaris 8 (with the Sun One Studio 8 C/C++ compiler); however, this product has been successfully tested on Solaris 9 with the Sun One Studio 8 compiler.
9. SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 (SLES 8) is based on United Linux 1.0 which means it should run on all the other United Linux based distributions of Linux (SCO Linux 4.0, TurboLinux 8 Server, Conectiva Linux). This product will not run on Red Hat Linux
10. On platforms that have combined 32/64-bit products, Enterprise Server only exists in the 32-bit element.
11. Enterprise Server on SCO UnixWare does not include support for MTO nor EJB/J2EE
12. Based on IBM's compatibility statements, http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/aix/os/compatibility/index.html Micro Focus products for AIX 5.1 and 5.2 should run without problems on AIX 5.3. The reference environment for those products remains unchanged.
13. Based compatibility statements made to us by HP, Micro Focus products for HP/UX 11.22/11iv1.6 should run without problems on HP/UX 11.23/11iv2.0. The reference environment for those products remains unchanged.
14. Based on Sun's compatibility statements, http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/top10.jsp Micro Focus products for Solaris 8/9 SPARC should run without problems on Solaris 10. The reference environment for those products remains unchanged.
15. The generic hardware name of x86 includes platforms from manufacturers such as Unisys, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, HP and Sun. The important aspects of such platforms are the operating system and the processor. If these match the entries in the table, the associated product can be used without any problems.
16. The reference environment is SCO UnixWare 7.1.3/7.1.4, however this product has been successfully tested on Open Server 6.0.
